It’s almost spring, and soon we’ll bid bon voyage to the blizzards still buffeting the Northeast and elsewhere, and the seasons WILL change, which for me means packing away the heavier perfumes like href="http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P50714&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5689">Stella, href="http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/chanel-coco-mademoiselle-perfume-how-i-love-thee/">Coco Mademoiselle and href="http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/three-ways-to-sparkle-this-holiday-season/">Givenchy Irresistible and busting out some lighter, fresher scents for a time.

• CK One Summer ($44): A citrusy unisex scent with notes of watermelon, pear, mandarin, lime, violet leaves, marigold, verbena, water lily, musk and vetiver
• Eternity Summer for Women ($54): A watery floral with notes of grapefruit, ginger, passion flower, peony, freesia and musk

Can you remember the last time you watched a sunset?

I couldn’t, so I watched and waited on the back deck last Saturday afternoon with my camera to refresh my memory. Luckily it was a clear day (one of very few lately), and I caught the sun, in a burst of buttery gold, peach and pink, slip back behind the mountains.

Such beauty… It moved me to do my makeup! src='http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Well, kinda. We were going out to dinner anyway, but what better inspiration than a beautiful sunset, right? I picked shimmery, peachy golden eyes and a pink lip with some random MAC, Urban Decay and Benefit.

Since we were going out, I blinged it up with href="http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/cosmetics/how-do-you-feel-about-glittery-makeup/">Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Liner along the lower lash line (what a nice glimmer of subtle, golden sparkle!) and added href="http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/product/B000FBNYSY/ref=sr_11_1/181-7004421-6887855?ie=UTF8&bcBrand=core&nodeID=">Benefit Hoola Bronzer into the crease.

Hello, kinda awesome! I think it brings a warm depth to the eyes, especially where it contrasts with something shimmery. If you’re already a Hoola fan, I recommend giving it a try in the crease with your favorite shimmery gold eyeshadow on the lid. /> (…)
